She truly was a gem. Our family was blessed to know Liz while we were active in the Tri-City Gem and Mineral Society. She was always a bright spot in the room ready and willing to share her knowledge and her love with my young kiddos, and later my grand children when we returned to visit with her during the October rock show each year. Much love to the family. Our thoughts go with you during this difficult time.

Mrs. Buchanan was my fourth grade teacher at Thornton, and a wonderful lady. In fact, my sister and I were just talking about her a couple of weeks ago. She was so much fun and definitely left an impression on me. My prayers are with you as you remember her.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I was secretary at Thornton Elementary School when Liz came there to teach, and I knew when I first met her that she was a special lady. She was delightful in every way, and truly loved and cared for her students. She will be missed by many. My prayer is that your precious memories and the love and sympathy of friends will help to comfort you at this time. I regret that I cannot attend Liz's memorial service, but will be thinking of each of you. "In our thoughts and cherished memories our loved ones are always with us." God bless you and your family.
