Mass of Christian Burial for Rosario “Chayito” Del Carmen Cabral, 68, of Temple, will be held 10 AM Wednesday January 9, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 8, 2019 from 5 to 7 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Temple, with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7 PM.

Mrs. Cabral passed from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at a local hospital. Rosario was born on January 28, 1950 in Mexico to Juan Rosales and Guadalupe Rosales, Lara.

Chayito has lived in the Temple area for over 38 years, moving to the area with her family from Piedras Negras, Mexico. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was the most wonderful homemaker. Her home was a place of love and care. Chayito made sure if you came to visit you never left hungry. She was a great cook and was famous for her chile and her tamales with mole sauce. Chayito kept a beautiful home on the outside as well, planting many different types of beautiful flowers. Mrs. Cabral loved life and lived it to the fullest. Chayito’s greatest treasure in life was her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Guillermo Cabral.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Rolando Cabral Sr.; sons, Rolando Cabral Jr., and Rigoberto Cabral; daughter, Frances Melissa Cabral; brothers, Juan Rosales Jr., and Rolando Rosales; sister, Blanca Leticia Talamantes; as well as seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
