Joseph E. “Joe” Hroch, 48, of Temple, passed away Thursday, October 11 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 6 pm Friday, October 19 at East Highway Baptist Church in Temple with Reverend Ernest Thompson officiating.

Joseph was born October 5, 1970 to Alvin and Odean Hicks Hroch in Temple, Texas. He played football while attending Temple High School and later worked for Bestrite and Sam’s Club in Temple. Joseph enjoyed watching Texas Longhorn and Nebraska Cornhuskers football, but his favorite times were always spent with family and friends. His family will always remember how he was always there if someone needed anything, even giving the shirt off his back if needed.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Odean.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Gina; daughter, Lissa Jackson of Corpus Christi; brothers, Chester Hroch, Sr. of Temple and Doc Hroch of New Braunfels; nephews, Chester Hroch, Jr. of Temple, Justin Hroch of Colorado, and Robert Hroch of New Braunfels; and great nieces and nephews, Brianna, Emily, Dakota and Daniel.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
