Services for Steven Allen Holmes will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Jose’ Orellana officiating; burial with military honors will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Steven Allen Holmes, 66, died on August 30, 2018 at a hospital in Decatur, TX family by his side. He was born to Dennis and Vivian on November 5, 1951 in Fairfield CA.

Steven enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1970 where he served his country for almost 8 years. His military awards include the Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/OLC, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #595, Master Mason and 33rd degree member of the Scottish Rite, a Knights Templar, and member of the Karem Temple Shrine. He was a man of strong faith and he loved his church. Steven was a talented musician and singer.

Steven is survived by his wife, Connie M. Smith and five children; sons, Robert S. Holmes, Rugby, ND; Richard A. Holmes, Killeen; daughters, Cynthia McIntosh, Gainesville, TX; Sylvia Oliver, Teresa Holmes both of Killeen He also leaves behind to cherish his memory a brother, Dennis Holmes, Sandy, Utah, 15 Grandchildren, and three Great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
