Graveside services for Doris M Palmer, 85, of Killeen will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Killeen City Cemetery with the Reverend John Abby officiating.
Doris was born in Rogers, on Aug 24, 1933 and a life long resident of central Texas and Killeen, she passed away on April 10, 2019. She was a Killeen High School graduate and worked as a bank teller more than 20 years in the area.
She thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker and mother and taking care of her family. Mrs. Palmer loved having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren by her side. Her love and concern for her entire family was immeasurable and she will truly be missed.
Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her parents Wesley H. and Onie Bell Wells, a sister, Margie Ann Wells, brother Vernon Wells, and a granddaughter, Dana Cutler Holbrook.
She is survived by her husband, Admiral “DC” Palmer, of Killeen; son, Bobby Barao & wife Sherry of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Debbie Mulkey and husband David of Fate, TX; grandchildren, Barbara Swanke, Charles Cutler, Brandon Mulkey, 5 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday April 15 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Killeen.

    My thoughts and prayers to the family. I worked with Doris at Heights Bank, she was a wonderful lady. I sure enjoyed knowing Doris. She will be missed.

    I met Doris in 1974 as one of the first employees of the
    newly formed Harker Heights bank. A wonderful person, she quickly became a valuable member of the bank staff. Over the years she exhibited the qualities strived for by many, but possessed by only a very few. Those qualities included honesty, dependability and a excellent work ethic. She set the standards for other staff members to follow.
    There is deep sorrow at the passing of a good friend and a wonderful human being.
