Reba Robinson Aycock, 74, of Moody, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at a local hospital in Temple. She was born in Bell County on November 11, 1935 to William Oze and Bertha (Miller) Robinson. She has lived in this area all of her life. Reba married Virgil Edward Aycock on May 26, 1956 at Moody Church of Christ.
Reba was a proud graduate of Moody High School. She coached Little League Baseball for many years and was a member of the Moody Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by husband, Virgil in 2000 and son, Virgil Edward “Roddy” Aycock, Jr. in 1986.
Reba is survived by daughters: Carol Aycock, Sherry Aycock, Melissa Aycock and Michelle Aycock all of Moody, Donna Hall and husband, Cliff of Gatesville and Mary Virginia Symm and husband, John David, Sr. of Lorena; grandchildren: John David “Jay” Symm, Jr., Thomas Edward “Tommy” Bennett, III, Allissa Mae “Izzy Mae” Bennett, James Oze “Jamie” Bennett, Connor William Aycock and Craig Bryan “Bad Babe” Montgomery, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 14 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 15 at Moody Church of Christ with David Echols officiating. Burial will follow in Moffat Cemetery. Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
