Services for Mattie Alice Swett, 86, of Temple will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 12 at Reed's Lake Cemetery with Reverend Brent Boatwright officiating.
Mrs. Swett died Sunday, March 7 in Temple.
She was born August 20, 1923 to Elige and Virgie Lee Bleeker in Rogers, Texas. She was a housewife and a life member of DAVA-2 and American VFW.
Mrs. Swett is survived by her husband, Loren E. Swett of Temple; three sons, H.L. (Johnny) Mayes of Belton; Curtis Wayne Mayes and wife Bonnie of Little River; and Weldon O. (Dee) Easley and wife Lorraine of Gig Harbor, Washington. Numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of friends survivor her.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 11 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
