Services for Vera Leigh Clinard 75 of Temple will be at Harper-Talasek with Paul Sanders officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:30 pm with Memorial Services beginning at 2:30 pm. Vera was born in Troy Texas to Jim and Florence Redden. She graduated from Troy high school and attended Mary Hardin-Baylor. She was a homemaker and retired bank bookkeeper.
Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Mahan of Austin TX/Angel Fire NM, Jessica York of Salado, Melissa Rosenau of North Richland Hills, three sons Kevin Bittner of Flower Mound, Jeffrey Bittner of Crockett and Michael Tierney of Belton. Three step-sons Paul Clinard of Temple, Randy Clinard of Austin and Kenneth Clinard of Houston.
Two sisters Daisy Coupland of Edinburg, Raedean Popelka of Coppell. Three brothers, JR (Buddy) Redden of Midland, Delane Redden of Belton, Wayne Redden of Shreveport. Two step-sisters Laverne (Patsy) Ellis Ethridge of Odessa and Shirley Ellis Lundgren of Austin.
Twenty-six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Vincent Paul Sheehan in 1975 and her husband Bill Clinard in 1996.
Vera donated her body to the Texas A&M University Willed Body Program.
