Frances Gertrude Allen, 93, of New Braunfels died Wednesday at a nursing center in New Braunfels. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m., Saturday with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Reverend Cox will officiate and burial will be in Greathouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born May 20, 1916 to Walter Lee and Dora Lender (Killion) Moore in Electra, Texas. She married James Floyd Allen on October 8, 1932 in Little River. She was a homemaker and also worked as a nurse’s aide for Scott & White. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Assembly of God Church in New Braunfels.

She is preceded in death by her husband, sons; Jessie Lee Allen, Floyd D. Allen and Bobby C. Allen, brothers; Walter L. Moore and J. W. Moore.

She is survived by children; Darrell E. Allen of Troy, James Richard Allen of Lometa, Delbert L. Allen of Lubbock, Reba K. Cowles and Sheryl Zickefoose of Canyon Lake, and Terry L. Allen, sister; Georgia Shelby of the Dallas area and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
