I had the pleasure of meeting Bubba when I was 11 years old. No matter what life threw at me or where I was in life I always knew when I saw him he would have a smile and genuinely excited to see me. I knew if I saw him I better be ready to give him the full story of what was going on in my life. He cared more about others than himself. While he was going to let you know what was going on in his life it was always a brief section of our conversation. I can remember I left after seeing him one time when I was in my early twenties thinking "wow we talked for an hour and a half and i feel like all we did was talk about me. This was the norm. I am sure I am not the only one with these types of memories of him. A truly special man who will always hold a special place in my life. He lived a life to serve his family and others around him.
